Weekly Event Ties and Prize Money Changes
Effective with the April 11th individual low net tournament, and for all future tournaments, the IMGA board of directors has voted to make the following changes:
We will eliminate the ties in our payouts by utilizing the USGA recommended process for a card off. Since we enter all scorecards for tournament play on a hole-by-hole basis, the Golf Genius software will automatically calculate the tie breaker system below to determine the placement order in each flight or each tournament.
Matching scorecards tie breaker method:

By eliminating the payouts for ties, we will be able to streamline the process and payout the winners on a more consistent basis. Furthermore, the IMGA board has also voted to increase the available pool of money for payouts. It will be increased from the current $3 per participant to $4 per participant. This amounts to a 33% increase in weekly prize money.
Certain games will be exempt from the tie breaking policy such as Skins, Beat the Pro, Ryder Cup and 666.
Major tournament winners for the Ironwood Cup, Club Championship, Super Senior 75 and 80 Divisions, if tied, will continue to be decided by playoffs However, flight winners in major championships will be decided by the card off method using the scores from all three rounds.
